This ride will take you South through Historic Belltown, with a rest stop in Tellico Plains. Then through Reliance to Greasy Creek, down to Ducktown, through Turtletown and a stop at the Hiwassee Dam. From here, it is a small jaunt to the Murphy’s Mercantile which is the start of the paved part of the famous Joe Brown Hwy. You will stop at Hanging Dog Baptist Church and ride into Murphy, NC. On the way back you will ride on the world-famous Dragon’s Tail (318 turns in 11 miles) to bring you back to SMN-D.

you will ride back in time through Historic Belltown to the Exxon in Tellico Plains for a rest stop. You might want to top off the fuel depending on your range. It is 115 miles until you get to the planned fuel stop.

5to Murphy’s Mercantile which is the beginning of the world-famous “Joe Brown Hwy”. I have never been here when it was open but the sign is cool.
6to the Hanging Dog Baptist Church for another photo op in front of the church. Make sure you have your selfie stick ready!
7through Murphy, NC where there are a number of places to eat to the Citgo in Andrews, NC. You will need fuel by now.
8from here you will continue up US 129 to Deals Gap for a stop to look at the tree of shame and get some pictures of you in front of the sign.
9to the overlook on the Dragon.
10 back to SMH-D in Maryville.
